IT’S ONE YEAR ALREADY … BUILDING A LEGACY OF TRANSGENERATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

As a valued friend of JASAN Foundation, we appreciate your support, energy and encouragement to JASAN Foundation.
On 13th September 2024, the Johnny Agim, SAN Foundation [“JASANFoundation”] was officially launched, along with the N1Billion JASAN Foundation Endowment Fund for the #Legacy500 Elite Sponsorship and Scholarship Programme; and today, makes it one remarkable year of building a legacy of transgenerational institutions… one step at a time.
On this auspicious day of our one-year anniversary, we are delighted to share the strides we have made— together with your encouragement and support—in advancing the JASAN Foundation Mentorship, Sponsorship, Reforms, and Advocacy [MSRA]vision within the Nigerian legal eco-system.
A. Our Journey So Far
- JASAN Foundation convened the inaugural edition of #TheLegacyDialogue 1.0, a high-level summit with the theme “Professional identity formation and mentorship in the legal profession”, with distinguished leaders of the Bar, Bench, and academia as panelists and in attendance.
2. Law Students’ Sponsorship: JASAN Foundation awarded 11 indigent law students full tuition support for the Nigerian Law School 2024/2025 Bar Part II Programme.
3. Strategic Engagements: We strengthened ties with the Leadership of the Bench and the Bar; and key legal institutions, through strategic engagements and indicative collaborations.
4. Mentorship, Guidance & Knowledge Sharing: We published thought leadership articles and hosted mentorship & capacity-building sessions for the JASAN Foundation 2024/2025 #Legacy500 Elite Sponsorship Beneficiaries.
5. JASAN Foundation engaged a Programme/Communications Officer [PCO] to see to the adroit execution of its Trident Programmes with precision and clarity. Mrs. Victoria T. Babadara is a seasoned Programme and Communications expert with years of critical experience relevant to developing and delivering on theJASAN Foundation mandate.

Looking ahead …
1.We are pleased to announce that on the Birthday of the Learned Silk, Mr. Johnny Agim, SAN on 9th September 2025, JASAN Foundation announced the 2nd Edition of the #Legacy500 Elite Sponsorship Programme, which is bigger, bolder, and better this year with the potential to accommodate 30 potential beneficiaries; expanding our scholarship awards from 11 to 30 beneficiaries – further democratizing opportunities for excellence in legal education. 2. Further, the JASAN Foundation MSRA Blueprint & Mentorship Platform is currently underway and will be launched at #TheLegacyDialogue 2.0.
3. #TheLegacyDialogue 2.0, our annual flagship legal institutional reform summit will hold as follows:
Theme: Institutionalisation of Mentorship in the Legal Profession: A Strategic Blueprint for Professional Development
Date: Friday, 24th October 2025
Time: 10:00 AM
Venue: Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja, FCT-Nigeria.
At this event, we will launch the #Legacy500 Elite Mentorship Programme for young lawyers (0–10 years post call).
