Chief Kanu G. Agabi, SAN, CON is one of Nigeria’s foremost legal practitioners (since 1972), a politician, and former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He is the Chairman, Board of Trustees, of the Johnny Agim, SAN Foundation.
He is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (since 1997), and was twice Attorney-General and
Minister of Justice for the Federal Republic of Nigeria (1999 – 2000 / 2002 – 2003), during which period he distinguished himself as the Chief Legal Officer for Nigeria.
He was also a former Minister of Solid Minerals Development and Special Adviser to the President on Ethics and Good Governance. His rich and wide experience in the legal profession spans a period of over 52 years.
Currently the Principal Partner at Kanu G. Agabi & Associates, a leading law firm in Nigeria; he is the holder of the National Honour of the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) for his contribution to nation building.
He has been the holder of several appointments, positions, and honours including amongst others, the following,

- Member FCT Judicial Service Committee.
- Member, Constitution Drafting Committee
- Dr. Kwame Nkrumah Africa Leadership Award (Akwaaba).
He is married with children, and his hobbies include Lawn Tennis, Chess and Reading.
